Welcome folks!  Usually, we expect an introduction by a person giving a brief idea about how one exactly is, even though it might just be the opposite. Duh! Why always do something that is meant to be or we supposed to? Why not do something we should and feel?! (No! Not at all rebellious!) Though I clearly remember barely following rules as a child. Yeah! You got me there! Honestly! You can say, I am a perfectly average human, with a decent job and a not so extra-ordinary adventurous life. All in all just a girl next door! Who can play well, both being sassy and monotonous when needed. I am a bong by birth and have spent substantial twenty- one years of my life in Uttar-Pradesh and currently in Pune. There is a celebrated French proverb - “PETIT A PETIT, L’OISEAU FAIT SON NID.”  which means - Little by little the bird makes its nest. I happen to stick to it. This proverb designates patience and perseverance, which I believe is limited and difficult to keep up within today’s world.

Pawana Farm Camping

Start of the monsoon, an awesome place like Pune with your best companions the first thing that comes to your mind without any doubt is camping!!

For camping, we usually look for a campsite that provides you the exact feel of being in your own space! And that lets you feel the adventure of camping and the safety of your own farm. Isn’t it!?! So I and my boon companions started the hunt for the campsite near Pawana that would give us the exact environment we want. Finally, our search ended at the Pawana Farm. Yes, that’s right, Pawana Farm was the best. Let me tell you!!

Beautiful view of the campsite

A basic campsite gives you the leisure and comfort that you basically this is fun like — BBQ, food, neat tents, a great view, and a campfire for some enjoyment and memorable moments. Pawana Farm is something that went beyond just these and gave us the remembrance of our life!

We started from Wakad and took the Urse route to Pawana, when we reached Pawana somehow we happened to missed the right-hand short cut that leads directly to the campsite and unknowingly took the long route. Due to the rain, it was all muddy and the road was unmetalled and narrow, so we decided to hike to some distance as it was hard on the bike, it was petrifying as there was no human remotely, there were crabs walking with us, snake holes, and bushes. But, I have to admit wherever our eyes went it was green and breathtaking. It was almost dark when we reached the site.

Ample parking space available

We were lucky enough to have the chance to meet the farm owner and Akanksha (host for the evening) who was so warm and cooperative she made sure we had the best time of our life. Not to forget to mention the helpers there were extremely friendly and adventure-loving as well to our surprise.

Pawana Farm view

They were kind enough to provide the music system and made serene arrangements for us under then shelter right in front of the lake, where we decided to spend the night. As the night passed, and the delicious food made us slow, we played games and danced with the friendly owner and his pals.

Delicious munchies

My brother happened to vanish for quite sometime making the rest of us worry and later, was found catching crabs with the helpers. We sat by the lake watching the beautiful moonlight fall on the lake and illuminating it.

Neat tent area

We slept late in the night in the tents which were warm, neat, and also protected us from the rain and the cold wind. The next morning we walked down to the lakefront and saw fishes being caught by the locals. We had a great breakfast and walked down the road to the nearby village and found mangoes on the tress and tried plucking few. The helpers were so fun-loving that they guided us around.

That’s me! posing my way to eternity!

That was indeed an adventure to remember, and honestly, it was my first experience in camping in Pune, which gave me memories beyond measures. I made new friends and can’t wait to meet Akansha again as well.
