Welcome folks!  Usually, we expect an introduction by a person giving a brief idea about how one exactly is, even though it might just be the opposite. Duh! Why always do something that is meant to be or we supposed to? Why not do something we should and feel?! (No! Not at all rebellious!) Though I clearly remember barely following rules as a child. Yeah! You got me there! Honestly! You can say, I am a perfectly average human, with a decent job and a not so extra-ordinary adventurous life. All in all just a girl next door! Who can play well, both being sassy and monotonous when needed. I am a bong by birth and have spent substantial twenty- one years of my life in Uttar-Pradesh and currently in Pune. There is a celebrated French proverb - “PETIT A PETIT, L’OISEAU FAIT SON NID.”  which means - Little by little the bird makes its nest. I happen to stick to it. This proverb designates patience and perseverance, which I believe is limited and difficult to keep up within today’s world.

The raft-bridge

The blustery wind blew from the ocean towards the lighthouse, weren't ready to be tamed at all, the roaring waves were hitting the rocks on the shore. The perfect surreal sunset sky made everything look like a beautiful dream.

There, right there she stood on the edge of the raft-bridge!

Watery blue eyes, bloodless face, long dark untied hair blowing in the direction of the wind, wearing a snowy white dress. She stood right there on the edge of the raft-bridge! Skin all cold and pale, staring at the ethereal sunset sky!

"A lady?!" wondered the keeper, admiring the uncanny scene. He stood there by his window like always watching the ocean. He was young, well built, and looked like someone who had the courage to face the storm anytime. Stood there by the casement waiting, and sipping the hot coffee, still wondering, “Why!?”

Sushmita.Says

Stationed motionless she stood there till the stars appeared and the velvet sky turned dark and glittery. He watched her curiously. As the night fell all the visions of curiosity and passion started to fade slowly and slowly.

This became a practice. She would appear from nowhere at the time of sunset and would disappear as the dark takes over. His curiosity turned into anxiousness and so he planned to confront her.

The very next day he anxiously waited for the mystical lady on the raft-bridge where she stood every twilight. He saw her approach and walked across the bridge barely noticed him standing and watching her. His eyes shined and heart skipped a beat seeing her face.

“Hello..!!” he said nervously, as he approached her. He couldn’t take his eyes off her. She swiftly ran her fingers across her face as she turned to him and only one side of her lips curl up to a half-smile.

There, right there two strangers unaware what the future holds came upon each other!
