Positive impact of the global lock down

Sushmita.Says

While the planet Earth is battling against the countless odds like the outbreak of a global pandemic coronavirus, many countries adopted lockdown so as to limit people from going out, in turn, increasing the risk of the virus spread in a wide range and rising the curve.

Though this lockdown might feel a little frustrating to many, as we have to have self-control and follow rules and stay home but, there is a bigger picture that we are missing out. The worldwide lockdown has definitely impacted some way or the other and has certainly made some positive influence on us as well as the environment we live in. Want to know how -

  1. Impact on us as individuals -

  • All of us are getting proper and sufficient sleep

  • We are eating home-cooked nutritious and healthy food

  • We get to spend time with our loved and dear ones

  •  We are able to manage some time out to go for a walk or work out in the comfort of our home

  • We are getting time to take care of our home as well!

  1. Impact on nature -

  • Less traffic and factory wastes coming out which is influencing the earth’s air quality.

  • The trees and the plants are growing and flourishing as there are clean air and water which, is leading to more release of oxygen and co2 absorption.

  • You can check the Air Quality Index which has improved for sure.

  • The water quality has improved to an extent as there is no new waste being added as of now. Ganga is drinkable to some extent.

  • Due to lesser human footfall, the rivers and oceans are recovering and the marine life is thriving.

  • The wildlife is freely roaming on the streets and even the sea turtles are seen to be back to the places they eventually were avoiding due to human influence, the swans, as seen in Venice canal happen to return due to less boat traffic
